Apple Numbers

Export first, then upload through Spreadsheet Bridge.

Apple Numbers does not use the Office XML add-in model, so the stable Chokmi path is to export the table and upload the exported file. From there, the full Research Studio is available in the web workspace.

Walkthrough

Six-step Numbers import

Take your Numbers table from the desktop into a Chokmi survey workspace in under a minute.

Open the table you want to import

In Numbers, open the document and select the sheet that contains the responses, codes, or participant data you want to bring into Chokmi.

Export to .xlsx or .csv

Use File → Export To → Excel or CSV. Both formats are supported by the Chokmi import pipeline.

Open Chokmi Spreadsheet Bridge

From the web app, open Spreadsheet Bridge or use the direct link in this guide. The bridge is the canonical entry point for non-native spreadsheet apps.

Choose the target survey

Select the Chokmi survey or operating record where these responses should land. The bridge surfaces your accessible surveys based on your role.

Keep source app set to Numbers export

Even though the file is now .xlsx or .csv, leaving source app as Numbers export preserves provenance in the operating record.

Upload and continue into Import Studio

Upload the file. If the bridge needs review on column mapping or schema, it will hand off into Import Studio for the rest of the workflow.

Constraint

One important note

Important

Chokmi does not currently ingest .numbers files directly. Use .xlsx or .csv as the interchange layer. The exported file keeps all your column data, and the bridge maps it back into the Chokmi schema during import.
